WABCG

WABCG is an international farmer organization gathering national and sub national beet and cane organizations since 1981, financed, ruled and lead by farmers.

WABCG :

has over 31 members from 31 countries;
gathers 5 millions cane growers and 650 000 beet growers from the five continents in a single forum, with 3 working langages;
represents more than 40% of the world sugar production and almost 70% of the sugar produced by family farmers.

WABCG is a specialized body of the International Federation of Agricultural Producers (IFAP) and provides the only forum where beet and cane growers can meet internationally to discuss common interests, problems and solutions.

Prices continue to fall

Prices have continued to fall on the London and New York markets over the last two weeks. After hitting more than 530 €/t (750 $/t) at the end of January 2010, London sugar prices are now falling.
