Finally an increase in sugar!
Although rising prices remained subdued, last week saw the first increase in sugar for over a month. The course of
brown sugar in the near term, after peaking at 13.9cts/livre (306 $ / t) on 29 September 2008, plunged to 10.76cts/livre (237 $ / t) 24 October, but increased 12cts/livre ($ 265 / t) on 31 October 2008. White sugar more modest benefits of this is recovered in stable at $ 334 / t on 31 October.
