Hitting rock bottom ?
On 16 October, raw sugar prices for the March settlement date hit 11.16 cts/lb (246$/t) in New York, the lowest level for the last 4 months, whilst white sugar was
trading at 319.8$/t for the December settlement date. White sugar for settlement in March 2009 was also down to 82$/t.
