Falling white sugar prices and high volatility
On 6 March 2009, raw sugar was selling at 281.75 $/t, and white sugar at 383.3$/t. Prices have been
increasingly volatile over the last two weeks. The price of raw sugar hit 302.05 $/t on 27 February, before
sliding back to 279.77 $/t on 3 March. In the same period, white sugar fell from 399.6 $/t to 377.7 $/t.
