  • American Sugarbeet Growers Association
    Incorporated in 1975, the purpose of the organization is to unite the sugarbeet growers in the United States and promote their common interests. The site provides plenty of information on the US sugarbeet industry. It has a map which illustrates the locations in the US where sugarbeet is grown, a section on US sugar policy and an illustrated step by step process on how sugarbeet is processed into sugar.
  • Australian Sugar Industry
    The site sets out to dispel many of the myths surrounding sugar. It discusses sugar as a natural preservative in foods, and explains that sugar is not the cause of hyperactivity and other health and nutrition problems.
  • Canadian Sugar Institute
    Provides information on the institute and the Canadian sugar industry. There is a F&Q section on nutrition and trade as it relates to sugar.
  • Danisco Sugar
    With a quota of over 1 million tonnes of sugar in the European Union, Danisco Sugar is one of Europe’s largest sugar producers. Danisco Sugar produces sugar and sweeteners in the following countries; Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland and Lithuania. The site provides information on the company’s sugar production and products.
  • International Sugar Organization
    The International Sugar Organization is a unique intergovernmental body devoted to improving conditions on the world’s sugar market through debate, analysis, special studies and transparent statistics.
  • The Sugar Association
    An informative site that describes sugar and its refining process. The site is divided into the following sections: sugar facts, consumers, professionals, kids and parents. This is an American site; therefore, it lists the sugarbeet companies and processing facilities involved in the US sugar industry.
  • SugarIand
    This site provides information on the Asian sugar industry; most of the information is from India. There is a section of news releases that has articles on sugar, which have been published in English.
